Heads up on upcoming weapon sets. 1/6 Modern Firearms Collection by blister direct. these are re-packaged Hot Toys weapons being sold as blind box trading figures by japanese online shop Blister.jp. Should be out this September. 7776 yen for a case of 12 pieces, so that should be around P350 per single piece if you broke it down per case. www.blister.jp/item/list/maker/201/www.blister.jp/item4881.html i'm interested in getting the M72 LAW. Guns Special Operation Weapons by Boford / Star Corporation Boford / Star Corporation also makes the Mononofu series of 1/6th weapons (katanas, etc). They're coming out with a line of trading figures for modern weapons. Case of 8, 4 kinds of weapons with secret versions for each weapon. A case will be 4000 yen, or around P250 per single pieces. Should be out end of October.  Again, hope someone can import these. |

M4 Anthology by Kotobukiya. 12 pieces for one case. 7200 yen for one case. To be release this November. 6 distinct M4s, with probably three variants: brand new, weathered and old.  |

incubusThe previous weapon set Kotobukiya released was said to be a copy of Intoyz weapons. I have that set (I don't have the Intoyz ones) and quality is good, maybe slightly under than DML. My main problem with the Kotobukiya set that I have is that many of the parts are loose and keep on coming off. Now, this new M4 Anthology set that Kotobukiya is coming out with, I don't know if it will have the same problems as the previous one.

M4 Anthology by Kotobukiya
I picked up my M4 Anthology from the post office yesterday. Sad to say, there are no duplicates in the case of 12.
Worse yet, one of my desert M4 is missing a scope. When I opened the trading figure box and pulled out the plastic tray, all parts for that rifle were in the tray EXCEPT for the scope. There was a space provided for the scope in the tray, but it was empty. Probably got mispacked at the factory.
Quality-wise, it's a notch below Dragon or bbi but pretty good for the number of parts and possible options you can create with it. The stocks on some of the M4s can be pulled out and interchanged. Some parts that are supposed to be glued together are coming apart, so I need to fix those. Magazines are kind of loose, so I've wound 1 round of scotch tape wrap to increase the thickness of the mags and have it better fit into the slot.
But puede na. Other than the missing scope and loose magazines, I have no major complaints.

My case shipped out from Japan last week. I expect it to be here in two weeks.

I'm picking UP the Hot Toys Blister JP repack set tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully there will be extras for the the LAW.

Any news with regards to HT's M72 LAWS? Sorry, I did not get any extra LAWs from my Hot Toys case. I got all 8 models from the box of 12, no duplicates for the LAWs. |
